So Derek found GhostCoder and bought it for both his machines before even telling me what it does. two hundred dollars. PER DEVICE licensing and he owns a laptop and a desktop so. yeah. he showed me at like 2am, "dude it lets you pick the AI model, OpenAI or Claude or Gemini, you bring your own API key." i bought it too, ran four mock rounds that first week, checked my OpenAI dashboard and the API tab was eighteen bucks on top of the hundred dollar license. Derek texted me "how much have you spent this month" and i did not reply for two days lol.

here is the part that made me want to throw the laptop. GhostCoder only does coding rounds. my loop that week was four rounds -- behavioral, technical, coding, system design -- and this hundred dollar tool sat there for ONE of them. twenty five percent of my interview loop. twenty five. InterviewMan was twelve bucks a month on annual. thirty month to month. hundred forty four for the whole year, unlimited sessions, every interview type -- behavioral coding system design technical -- every platform, stealth included. i opened the pricing page three separate times because twelve seemed wrong. Derek was sitting next to me the third time and goes "just buy it already you are making me nervous refreshing the page" lol. meanwhile his two GhostCoder licenses are collecting dust at two hundred bucks. he put his head in his hands lol.

Interview Solver also does coding -- LeetCode problems, HackerRank assessments, live rounds. companion mode, flowcharts, syntax highlighting. thirty nine a month or thirty on quarterly. the fifteen dollar single-use pass is actually kind of smart if you literally have one coding round left on the calendar and nothing else. three months on quarterly runs ninety bucks which is still less than one GhostCoder license before API fees even enter the picture.

Cluely starts at twenty a month for Pro but stealth sits behind seventy five. three months of that is two twenty five which made Derek laugh out loud. and then Business Insider measured five to ten second response delays during testing. i tried it on a mock with Derek and he asked me "why do you keep pausing" before i could even explain what was happening. mid-2025 data breach exposed over eighty three thousand users. that part is hard to get past when you are handing over interview data. also the hallucinations -- fabricated work experiences that were never on a resume -- showed up in user reports. Derek closed the tab.

stealth is the thing that matters most. one slip during a screenshare and the offer is gone. i tested InterviewMan myself -- shared my full desktop, ran a call, then spent forty minutes afterward going through the dock and Activity Monitor and the recording frame by frame. forty minutes. embarrassing but whatever, Derek sat next to me the whole time eating chips and not helping lol. hides from the dock, blocks screen recording, blocks WebRTC leaks, masks the process name. twenty plus countermeasures, all included on every plan. fifty seven thousand users across Windows macOS Android iOS Chrome, works on Zoom Teams Google Meet Amazon Chime Webex HackerRank CoderPad Codility. zero confirmed detections. i told Derek that number and he closed every tab on his laptop immediately. same laptop that still has two hundred bucks of GhostCoder on it lol.

GhostCoder does it differently. desktop app so it avoids browser extension scans, screen-sharing bypass to keep the overlay hidden, hover-to-click so the interviewer does not watch your mouse jump around. but right on their site, direct quote, they "cannot guarantee" undetectability and they tell you to test with your screen-sharing software before an actual interview. Derek read that out loud in the voice he uses when he is reading a restaurant's one-star health inspection. what i want to hear before a FAANG final round? absolutely not lol. Interview Solver just skips the whole thing by being desktop only, no mobile, no browser. and Cluely puts desktop stealth on the seventy five dollar tier. seventy five. for three months that is two twenty five on top of everything else and i already told you about the breach.
